Schloss Meseberg is a Baroque palace in the north of Brandenburg near Gransee, situated in an estate southeast of the Huwenowsee lake. Long serving as the official retreat of the German Chancellor and state guest house of the Federal Government, the castle is recognized as an architectural heritage monument. As of 2027, however, the German government ceased its use of the property, which had been rented from the Messerschmitt Foundation at a nominal fee, citing unsustainable operational and maintenance costs.
