The Schlosskirche, or second Berliner Dom, stood in Berlin from 1747 until its demolition in 1894. Designed by Jan Bouman, Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff, and Karl Friedrich Schinkel, the cathedral blended Baroque and Neoclassical architectural styles, reflecting the aesthetic transitions of eighteenth-century Prussia. The building occupied a significant place in Berlin's religious and urban landscape for nearly 150 years before being dismantled in the final decade of the nineteenth century.
