Located on Roe Avenue in Cornwall, New York, the Scribner House is a 1910 Shingle style residence built as the centerpiece of a summer estate for Charles Scribner II, a prominent New York City publishing executive of the Scribner family. The house merges Colonial Revival interiors with its characteristic Shingle style exterior, incorporating design elements from the Arts and Crafts Movement. Following the family's departure and the subsequent sale of most of the surrounding estate land, the house stands as the sole remaining structure from the original property. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
