Sezincote House, a country estate in Gloucestershire, England, stands as a striking example of Neo-Mughal architecture designed by Samuel Pepys Cockerell and completed in 1805. The house is distinguished by its red sandstone exterior, characteristic of Mughal design, crowned with a copper-covered dome rather than the traditional white marble. Its fenestration features exceptionally large arched windows with distinctive shell-like fan motifs reflecting Mughal influence, while the interior follows more conventional European style. The landscape, designed by Humphry Repton, blends Renaissance-garden principles with Hindu elements, notably a crescent bridge with columns. Both the house and its Grade I listed gardens represent a sophisticated 19th-century reinterpretation of 16th and 17th-century Mughal architectural traditions.
