The Sheridan County Courthouse in McClusky, North Dakota, is a four-story Art Deco structure completed in 1938 by architect Ira Rush. Constructed of steel-reinforced concrete and measuring 52 by 88 feet, the building was designed to serve as a stabilizing civic presence, its substantial construction intended to discourage local rivalries over the county seat. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, it exemplifies the civic courthouse architecture that emerged across North Dakota during the Depression era.
