Rising 620 feet (189 meters) above the Nishi-Shinjuku district, this 44-storey office tower was completed in 1995 by the Tokyo-based architectural firm Nihon Sekkei. Designed in a contemporary modernist idiom, the skyscraper took five years to construct, beginning in 1990. The building is distinguished by a public plaza installation featuring Robert Indiana's iconic red "LOVE" sculpture, which stands as a prominent landmark in the surrounding urban landscape.
