Shionjiyama Kofun is a keyhole-shaped burial mound located in the Otake neighborhood of Yao, Osaka, in Japan's Kansai region, dating to around 500 CE. Built during the Kofun period, it exemplifies the zenpō-kōen-fun (front-square, back-round) architectural style characteristic of elite burial practices of that era. The mound was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1966, with its protected area expanded in 1978, recognizing its significance as a surviving monument to early Japanese funerary architecture.
