South Park Lofts, located in downtown Los Angeles, is an eight-story Beaux-Arts building constructed in 1924 as one of America's first parking structures. Designed by architect Claud Beelman, it was an early example of a dedicated automobile garage and represents a rare instance of a parking facility listed on the National Register of Historic Places, receiving that designation in 2004. The building has since been converted to residential lofts, transforming its original industrial function into modern living spaces while retaining its architectural significance.
