Southside Elementary School, now known as Southside Preparatory Academy, is a historic Mission Revival structure located at 45 Southwest 13th Street in the Brickell neighborhood of Downtown Miami, Florida. The oldest elementary school in Miami-Dade County, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 4, 1989. Originally sharing a schoolhouse with Miami Senior High School, the institution now serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade and is accessible via the Miami Metrorail's Brickell Station and the Metromover. The school underwent significant expansion in recent years, renamed as Southside Preparatory Academy in August 2019 and opening its first middle school class that same year, with a new middle school building featuring teacher housing scheduled to open in the 2025–2026 school year.
