The Spektrum Tower is a 128-metre modern office tower completed in December 2003 in the Śródmieście business district of Warsaw. Originally built as the headquarters of telecom operator Telekomunikacja Polska S.A., the structure was designed by architects from Apar-Projekt and Arca A&C bureaus and combines cylinders and cuboids in its composition. Rising across 30 floors above ground with five additional floors below, the tower comprises nearly 50,000 square metres of space and was constructed using "top-down" technology, allowing simultaneous excavation and building. Notable features include a rooftop helipad and a distinctive external elevator shaft sloped at 14° that travels at 2.5 metres per second, alongside seven standard elevator shafts. The modern intelligent building is equipped with building automation systems. Construction, initially contracted in 1997 and originally scheduled for 2002 completion, was transferred to PORR Polska S.A. in 2002 after the original contractor faced financial difficulties.
