Spring Garden School, a public K–8 institution in the Poplar neighborhood of Philadelphia, occupies a three-story Art Deco building designed by architect Irwin T. Catharine and completed in 1931. Constructed of orange brick across sixteen bays, the structure showcases distinctive corbelled brick pilasters topped with floral-motif capitals, characteristic of its streamlined style. A caged rooftop play area crowns the edifice. The building, originally designated Spring Garden School No. 2, was recognized for its architectural significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
