Located in Garrison Township, Minnesota, St. Alban's Bay Culvert is a historic bridge carrying the four-lane U.S. Route 169 over a stream flowing from Mille Lacs Lake. Built between 1938 and 1939 as part of a New Deal scenic parkway project, the structure exemplifies National Park Service rustic design and represents a rare instance of the Minnesota Highway Department's Roadside Development Division—typically devoted to overlooks and waysides—executing a highway bridge. Recognized for its well-preserved state and fine architectural qualities, the culvert was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015 for its significance in architecture and government history.
