St Leonard's Church in Shoreditch, East London, stands at the intersection of Shoreditch High Street and Hackney Road as the historic parish church of the area. Built around 1740, the church exemplifies Palladian architecture and was designed by George Dance the Elder. Its Grade I listed status reflects its architectural significance. The church holds cultural resonance through its mention in the nursery rhyme "Oranges and Lemons," while beneath it lies a notable crypt that served as the final resting place for numerous Tudor-period actors.
