St. Mark's Church, located in St. Mark's Square in Zagreb's Upper Town, is the parish church of old Zagreb and one of the city's oldest architectural monuments, with origins dating to the 13th century. Built in Gothic style, the church is distinguished by its medieval architecture and, most strikingly, its colorful tiled roof displaying the coats of arms of Croatia, Dalmatia, and Slavonia alongside the emblem of Zagreb itself. This iconic roof has made the church a symbol of the city's rich history. The building's Gothic and Romanesque features have secured its registration as a Cultural Good of Croatia.
