St. Peter's Church (Petrikirche) in Rostock, a Hanseatic city in northern Germany, was the oldest of three principal town churches, built in brick Gothic style during the 13th century. Rising 117 meters in height, this brick structure was constructed as an architectural monument characteristic of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's heritage. The church was demolished in 1942, during the Second World War, ending its centuries-long presence alongside the city's other significant religious buildings, St. Mary's Church and St. Nicholas Church.
