St. Stephen's Methodist Church, located in the Marble Hill neighborhood of the Bronx, is a two-story Shingle style church designed by Alexander McMillan Welch and built in 1897. Constructed on a raised basement, the building features a cross-gable roof crowned with a small cupola, a rose window on its front facade, and a pronounced bell tower with an open belfry and balconies. The interior follows the Akron Plan, a popular Methodist church design. An attached Sunday School wing with a hipped roof extends from the main structure, while a contributing Queen Anne style frame parsonage stands nearby on the property. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
