Standing on the eastern tip of Kungsholmen island in Stockholm, the City Hall is the seat of Stockholm Municipality and one of Sweden's architectural landmarks. Designed by Ragnar Östberg and completed in 1923, the building synthesizes national Romantic, baroque, and Renaissance architectural traditions. Positioned overlooking Riddarfjärden's northern shore and facing the islands of Riddarholmen and Södermalm, it houses municipal offices, conference rooms, and ceremonial halls. The building is internationally renowned as the venue for the annual Nobel Prize banquet and ranks among Stockholm's most visited tourist attractions.
