Designed by Swedish architect Gunnar Asplund and completed in 1928, the Stockholm Public Library stands as one of the city's most notable structures, exemplifying the Nordic Classicism style. Located near Odenplan, the building now serves as the flagship of Stockholm's municipal library system. The name applies both to the main library itself and to the broader network of libraries it anchors. As of 2024, the building has closed for extensive renovation, with reopening planned for 2028.
