Stratford Springs, a historic district near Wheeling in Ohio County, West Virginia, preserves the former grounds of the Wheeling Country Club, which operated at this location until 1980. The district encompasses four contributing buildings executed in Shingle style architecture, including the former clubhouse designed in 1902 by prominent local architect Frederick F. Faris, along with the Franzheim Bungalow, the former Pro and Caddy House, and a former Servant's Residence. Today, portions of the golf course—including the greens and teeing grounds of holes 13 and 14—abut the historic clubhouse structure. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
