Built in 1903 in Coalville, Utah, the Summit County Courthouse stands as a Romanesque Revival structure that resolved a contentious dispute over the county seat's location. Designed by the Ogden-based firm F.C. Woods & Co. and constructed by contractors E.J. Beggs and J.H. Salmon, the building won over skeptics from rival Park City through the promise of capable public service. Located on Main Street, it was recognized for its historical significance when listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
