The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is an octagonal structure in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, designed by architect Lü Yanzhi and erected between 1929 and 1931 through donations from local and overseas Chinese communities. The distinctive building, which measures 71 metres across without internal pillars, exemplifies Chinese architectural tradition while serving as a modern civic venue. Its expansive interior accommodates a large stage and 3,240 seats, making it a significant gathering space. Designated a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level, the memorial honors the revolutionary leader Sun Yat-sen and stands as both a cultural landmark and functioning convention center in Yuexiu District.
