The Swiss Steam Laundry Building, a six-story Romanesque Revival structure completed in 1895 in Baltimore, Maryland, originally functioned as a manufacturers' laundry. Its façade is defined by two five-story arched bays featuring tripartite windows at the corners and a cast iron storefront embellished with ornamental scrollwork and egg-and-dart molding at the cornice. The interior employs iron columns and wood flooring across floors of varying heights—the first two stories rise 20 feet, the third and fourth measure 16 feet, and the upper floors 10 feet. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, the building represents a well-preserved example of late-nineteenth-century industrial architecture.
