The Tanners' Mosque is a Sunni mosque in Tirana, Albania, built in the 17th or 18th century during the Ottoman era near the Tanners' Bridge, in a neighborhood that housed the city's tanners' guild and handicraft trades. Constructed in Ottoman architectural style, the mosque sustained damage from a lightning strike in 1927. Following Albania's declaration as an atheist state under Enver Hoxha's Communist government, the mosque remained closed for worship from 1967 to 1990. Upon its reopening, the Resmja family undertook restorations and has maintained responsibility for the building since then.
