The Terminal Arcade, located on Wabash Avenue in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana, is a Beaux-Arts building designed by Daniel H. Burnham of Chicago and completed in 1911. Originally constructed as an interurban railway station for the Terre Haute, Indianapolis and Eastern Traction Company, it replaced the site of a former bicycle shop. The structure is built of terra cotta and brick, featuring identical limestone and granite-based facades on its north and south sides adorned with carved lions, garlands, and fruits; the facades themselves were executed by Fred Edler and J. W. Quayle. After the interurban service ceased in 1940, the building served as the city's union bus station from 1949 to 1972. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1983, the Terminal Arcade has faced periodic preservation threats but has been adapted for contemporary commercial use.
