Tévennec Lighthouse, designed by Léonce Reynaud and built in 1875, stands at the western tip of Brittany on Île-de-Sein, a modest stone structure rising 11 meters above the treacherous waters of the Raz de Sein. Automated in 1910, it works in concert with the nearby La Vieille lighthouse to guide vessels through one of France's most hazardous maritime passages, marked by the dangerous rocks historically called Stevenet Banks. The lighthouse was inscribed as a monument historique in 2015.
