Thaw Hall stands as a five-story academic building on the University of Pittsburgh campus, completed in 1910 by architect Henry Hornbostel in the Neoclassical Beaux-Arts style. Constructed of stone, brick, and terra cotta, the building occupies a prominent location along O'Hara Street in Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood, positioned between Old Engineering Hall and the Space Research Coordination Center. Today it houses classrooms, laboratories, offices, and academic centers, and has been recognized as both a contributing property to the Schenley Farms National Historic District and a Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmark.
