Located at 1812 19th Street NW in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C., this Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial Revival house was constructed in 1904. The building served as a writer's residence and later became associated with L. Ron Hubbard, who maintained a personal office there from 1956 to 1961 after establishing Scientology in the 1950s. During this period, the structure housed offices of the Founding Church of Scientology and was the site of the first Scientology wedding performed by Hubbard. Now operated as a writer's house museum offering regular public tours, the building was added to the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022, and is a contributing property to the Dupont Circle Historic District.
