The Larches is a Federal-style wood-frame house in Cambridge, Massachusetts, originally constructed around 1808 by Salem merchant William Gray as a summer residence on one of Brattle Street's grand estates. The 2½-story structure was relocated to its present location at 22 Larch Road in 1915, when architect Alexander Wadsworth Longfellow Jr. oversaw significant renovations and alterations that preserved its distinctive Federal detailing both inside and out. The house later became home to composer Randall Thompson and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
