A pair of neoclassical residential apartment houses in Worcester, Massachusetts, these adjoining buildings represent early twentieth-century urban development. The Vendome, a five-story structure completed in 1898, was designed by the architectural firm Barker & Nourse for developer Judson W. Hall and features Roman brick facing, pressed-metal bay windows, and decorative sandstone panels and lintels. Built around 1913 also for Hall, the adjacent St. Ives follows a similar neoclassical vocabulary but is slightly wider, distinguished by two central window bays compared to The Vendome's single bay. Both buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
