The Virginia, a three-story Colonial Revival brick apartment building erected around 1900 in Buffalo's Lower West Side, exemplifies early twentieth-century middle-class urban housing. Built on a stone foundation with a full basement, the structure originally accommodated 24 apartments designed for young professional tenants. Its Colonial Revival styling reflects the architectural preferences of the era, evident in the articulation of its brick facade. Also known as the Casa Shelby Apartments, the building was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.
