Theater Lübeck, completed in 1908 in the city of Lübeck, Germany, is one of the largest theaters in Schleswig-Holstein. Designed by architect Martin Dülfer, the building exemplifies Art Nouveau style and holds the status of a cultural monument. The theater succeeded an earlier playhouse from 1752, continuing a theatrical tradition in Lübeck that began in the early Enlightenment, with the city's first opera production recorded in 1746. The building is now managed by the state-owned Theater Lübeck GmbH. The institution has served as a launching point for prominent conductors, including Hermann Abendroth, Wilhelm Furtwängler, and Christoph von Dohnányi.
