The Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library, completed in 1972 on the University of Toronto's St. George campus, is Canada's largest publicly accessible repository of rare books and manuscripts. Designed by the architectural firm Mathers & Haldenby in the brutalist style, the library forms part of the Robarts Library complex and houses not only significant historical collections but also the university archives, which preserve institutional records alongside the papers of prominent Canadian literary figures including Margaret Atwood and Leonard Cohen.
