The Tomita Chausuyama Kofun, located in Sanuki, Kagawa Prefecture on the island of Shikoku, is a zenpō-kōen-fun (keyhole-shaped burial mound) dating to around the middle of the 5th century during the early Kofun period. Designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1993, it ranks as the largest kofun in the Shikoku region, testifying to the considerable power and resources of the figure interred within during this formative era of Japanese burial architecture.
