Torre Glòries is a 38-story, 144-meter skyscraper in Barcelona's Poblenou neighbourhood, designed by French architect Jean Nouvel in association with the Spanish firm b720 Fermín Vázquez Arquitectos. Completed in 2005 and officially inaugurated by King Juan Carlos I that September, the tower exemplifies high-tech architecture and marks the gateway to Barcelona's technological district near Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes. With a diameter of 39 meters, it contains office space, technical facilities, services including an auditorium, and parking. Originally named Torre Agbar after its owner, the multinational water company Agbar Group, it was renamed Torre Glòries in 2017 following its acquisition by real estate group Merlin Properties. The building is recognized as a Cultural Asset of Catalonia's heritage.
