Located in Brevard, North Carolina, the Transylvania County Courthouse is a two-story Italianate brick structure completed in 1873, notable for its distinctive "T"-shaped floor plan and hipped roof. Its most prominent feature is a projecting three-story tower on the front facade, crowned with a concave mansard roof that extends the building's visual presence above its main body. An early-20th-century rear addition expanded the original structure. The courthouse was recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and stands within the Main Street Historic District.
