Umbria Plantation, a Greek Revival-style cotton plantation house near Sawyerville, Alabama, was established by Samuel Pickens, younger brother of Alabama's third governor Israel Pickens. The house presented an unusual design featuring a raised basement and U-shaped plan, distinguishing it from typical plantation architecture of its era. Documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey in the 1930s, the structure was destroyed by fire on December 29, 1971.
