Uncle Sam Plantation, originally called Constancia, was a Greek Revival sugar plantation established during the 1810s along the Mississippi River near Convent in St. James Parish, Louisiana. Samuel Pierre Auguste Fagot constructed the elaborate main house and numerous outbuildings between 1829 and 1843, creating what became one of the most architecturally unified and intact plantation complexes in the Southeastern United States. The entire complex was demolished in 1940 to accommodate construction of a new river levee, though the Historic American Buildings Survey documented it before its destruction.
