The Union Park Hotel, located at 1519-1521 W. Warren Boulevard in Chicago, is a 1929–30 Art Deco apartment hotel that exemplifies the style's distinctive formal language. Built during the era when such mixed-use residential buildings housed Chicago's laborers, the structure features pronounced vertical piers that create a soaring emphasis characteristic of Art Deco design. Its colorful brick and terra cotta facade—an unusually vibrant choice for Chicago's typically more restrained Art Deco palette—displays the geometric ornamentation typical of the period. Originally known as the Viceroy Hotel, the building was designated a Chicago Landmark and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
