Located on State Line Avenue in Texarkana, the United States Post Office and Courthouse straddles the Arkansas-Texas border, serving both the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas and the Eastern District of Texas. Built in 1933 in the Beaux-Arts style, the building replaced an earlier courthouse that had occupied the site since 1892 and was razed in 1930. The structure combines postal and judicial functions in a single border-spanning facility, a practical solution to Texarkana's unique geographic position. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
