Vancouver City Hall, completed in 1936 at 453 West 12th Avenue, is an Art Deco civic landmark designed by architects Fred Townley and Matheson. The structure features a distinctive 12-storey tower rising 98 metres, crowned with a clock face that has become iconic to the city's skyline. Built by Carter, Halls, Aldinger and Company, the building houses Vancouver City Council and is served by the nearby Broadway–City Hall station on the SkyTrain's Canada Line.
