Situated on West Georgia Street in Vancouver's Financial District, the Hotel Vancouver is a Châteauesque-styled skyscraper designed by John Smith Archibald and John Schofield and opened in May 1939. Standing 112.47 metres tall across 17 floors, it was the tallest building in Vancouver until the completion of TD Tower in 1972. Considered one of Canada's grand railway hotels, the structure is now managed by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.
