The Vasileostrovsky tram depot in Saint Petersburg's Vasileostrovsky District is the city's oldest tram facility, constructed between 1906 and 1908 by Westinghouse Electric in the Art Nouveau style. Built during the early era of electric tramway expansion in Russia, the depot holds significance both as an architectural landmark and as a site of historical memory—it became associated with Leningrad's resistance during World War II. Today, the facility houses the Museum of electrical transport and is recognized as a regional cultural heritage site, serving as a meaningful landmark for local residents.
