Västerås Cathedral, the seat of the Diocese of Västerås in Västmanland, Sweden, is a monumental five-aisled hall church begun in 1271 and constructed in brick in the Scandinavian Brick Gothic style. Its most distinctive feature is a single west tower rising 92 metres, topped with an obelisk-shaped, copper-clad spire and flanked by side extensions. The building's copper-covered roof and brick construction have weathered centuries of Nordic climate, establishing it as a significant ecclesiastical landmark and heritage complex in the region.
