Located on Church Street just south of downtown Ballston Spa, New York, the Verbeck House is a frame dwelling built in 1889 in the Queen Anne architectural style. Designed by Marcus F. Cummings, a regionally significant architect, it stands as one of the last commissions of his career and among his rare excursions into Queen Anne design. The house retains much of its ornate period interior decorations. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, it subsequently served as the National Bottle Museum, which undertook restoration work with state matching grant support, before the museum relocated to larger downtown quarters following an organizational dispute. The house today contains professional offices.
