Viborg Cathedral in Viborg Municipality, Denmark, is a 19th-century Lutheran cathedral completed in 1876 and built of brick in the Romanesque Revival style. The modern structure, which replaced a medieval cathedral that had occupied the site since 1130, was modeled after Lund Cathedral in southern Sweden. Now protected as an ancient monument in Denmark, the cathedral stands as a significant example of Danish ecclesiastical architecture from the 1870s, though it bears no resemblance to its medieval predecessor.
