The Villa Spada is a Neoclassical mansion designed by Giovan Battista Martinetti and built in 1850 on the southwestern outskirts of Bologna, beyond Porta Saragozza. Originally an aristocratic suburban residence, it features formal and informal gardens set on hillside grounds that afford views over the city. Since the 1990s, the villa has housed the Museum of Textiles and Upholstery Vittorio Zironi, preserving its role as a cultural landmark while maintaining its status as part of Italy's national heritage.
