Located at Cricoli near Vicenza in northern Italy, Villa Trissino is a patrician villa built primarily in the 16th century and traditionally associated with the architect Andrea Palladio. The villa belonged to Gian Giorgio Trissino and exemplifies Palladian architecture, the distinctive style that defines the Veneto region. Since 1994, it has been protected as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "City of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto," which was established to preserve Palladio's architectural legacy and extended in 1996 to encompass Palladian villas throughout the surrounding countryside.
