Wanfu Temple is a Buddhist temple on Mount Huangbo in Fuqing, Fujian, China, founded in 789 by Chan master Zhenggan during the Tang dynasty. The temple gained lasting significance as the original home of Yinyuan Longqi, its 33rd abbot and a distinguished Chan master who later traveled to Japan with his disciple Muyan to establish the Ōbaku school of Zen Buddhism. Following destruction and reconstruction across several centuries, the entire temple complex underwent comprehensive restoration in 1989 and again in 2016. The Japanese head temple of the Ōbaku school, Mampuku-ji, takes its name from this historic site, underscoring Wanfu Temple's enduring influence on East Asian Buddhism. It holds status as a National Key Buddhist Temple in the Han Chinese Area.
