The Watson House, also known as the Coombs House, stands just east of Charlestown, Indiana's town square as a two-story frame dwelling built around 1900. Combining Queen Anne and Colonial Revival stylistic elements, it features a full-width front porch supported by slender columns. The site holds historical significance beyond the house itself: it once hosted the Green Tree Tavern, built by James Bigger in 1812, where Jonathan Jennings, Indiana's first governor, was celebrated with an Inaugural Ball in 1816. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
