Built in 1935 as a Public Works Administration project, the Wayne Municipal Auditorium in Wayne, Nebraska, is a three-story Art Deco structure designed to serve multiple community purposes. The rectangular building houses a large auditorium alongside two additional meeting spaces, which over the decades have accommodated gatherings ranging from formal commencements and theatrical productions to gymnasium activities and film screenings. Its Art Deco styling reflects the architectural preferences of the Depression-era period, and the building was recognized for its historical significance when listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
